
The pilot reported unusual vibrations and slight loss of power. During first pickup to a hover the aircraft felt like it wanted to vibrate itself apart. RPM decayed to bottom of green and manifold pressure rose to ~24 (as governor attempted to maintain RPM by opening throttle – likely to full throttle).
Outcome: Grounded
Suspected stuck valve based on symptoms. Post flight inspection quickly discovered a bent valve push rod.
