
Aircraft was running hot on oil temps and CHT.
Outcome: Grounded
Found the cooling sheet metal had a big opening allowing cool air to escape rather than cool the engine. You can see before and after repair photos. Also you can see similar repairs on another aircraft – seems to be a common failure point of the cooling sheet metal.
